Liberty Nimmo

WHO

Founded by Liberty Nimmo, NIMMO links natural skincare products and Sustainable Farming.

With a long interest in medicinal herbs & wild flora, and having spent time working on Organic, Regenerative and Biodynamic Farms, Liberty became aware that farming in an environmentally beneficial way can support both a healthy diet and healthy skincare.

Tallow has a number of excellent medicinal properties and Liberty wanted to ensure that this byproduct of sustainable meat production, along with other beneficial wild flora & herbs that grow in abundance locally, do not go to waste.

SUSTAINABLE FARMING & SKINCARE

NIMMO believes that the Regenerative system of farming is one of the most important ways to tackle issues surrounding our environment, food production and our health.

Regenerative Agriculture is a conservation and rehabilitation approach to food and farming systems. It focuses on topsoil regeneration, increasing biodiversity, improving the water cycle, enhancing ecosystems, supporting carbon sequestration (capturing carbon), increasing resilience to climate change, and strengthening the health and vitality of farm soil.

Our skincare supports local biodiversity and a sustainable way of farming, with profits & optional voluntary donations invested into supporting the PFLA .

TALLOW & ITS BENEFITS

Tallow is a byproduct of any beef production system with many medicinal benefits.

Animals are an integral part of a Regenerative system and, when farmed to the highest of welfare standards, contribute to improving the environment and act as an excellent source of nutrients in our diet.  Within the Regenerative system, ‘it’s not the cow, it’s the how’, is a phrase often repeated.

Tallow has many medicinal benefits; it’s rich in nutrients  and in vitamins A, D, E, K, and B1.   It reduces inflammation  – tallow contains conjugated linoleic acid, which is a natural anti-inflammatory and has anti-cancer properties too.

With antimicrobial properties it helps to ward off infections, burns body fat by releasing glucagon, softens the skin, supports the nervous system and protects from free radical attacks.
